About Jaime

Aloha, and welcome.  My name is Jaime Ciletti, and I am from the beautiful islands of Oahu and Kaua’i. With my heart and soul, I present to you The Hanalei Collection, a fine art jewelry line nine years in the making. This work of mine is inspiring by my beloved family and Hawaiian heirloom Jewelry.

A history with jewelry design

My grandparents established a clock & watch repair shop on Oahu in 1966. As time passed by, the store transformed from fixing clocks to fixing jewelry! The Eldest of their four children, Hella Meek, left the islands to study and become a jeweler, ultimately purchasing the business from my grandparents when they were ready to pass it on. The family store became known as ‘Windward Jewelers’. From my uncles to my cousins, we all helped with customers, learned to do repairs, and took part in making our own pieces. We would even enter in local design competitions. When I was thirteen I was awarded first Place in the annual Hawaii Jewelers Association design competition. The store was such a warm place to be. Someone would always be there to share a treat with from the coffee shop next door. My grandparents came to visit everyday. They enjoyed helping with old customers that had entrusted our family business for decades.

About my collection

I loved working on the bench next to my Aunt. She was so generous with her findings, and showed me how to create anything I could think of.

The Hanalei Collection stems from a similar collection done by her, which represents the Mokulua Islands on Oahu. I had the vision to capture the North Shore of Kaua’i in this way for 8 years before I was able to materialize it. After years on the drawing board, saving money, and finding the right resources, I am proud to carry on the family business.

The original pieces which hold the view of Mount Makana have been successful in kickstarting my line, giving me the ability to do what I love; design. I am really excited about what’s to come.
